Right, you’ve probably already come across and laughed at a thousand and one articles telling you what you should say, do and act like when you go on your first gay dates with people you meet on twink and other gay dating websites. What about the things that are guaranteed to make you unpopular though… Surely that’s must-know information?
Sadly, a lot of this advice is coming from experience. This is how to be completely the opposite of what you want to achieve in the twink dating world – how to be unpopular!
1 – Don’t message back.
Even if you’re not interested, send them a message back. It’s just rude and bad manners to not bother and believe it or not, some of these people talk. You don’t want to get a bad name for yourself, especially if you’re new to the game.
If they really aren’t your cup of tea, message them back and say something compassionate and to the point – “Hi, thanks for your message but I’m currently talking to someone else and I’d like to see how that materialises. I wish you well though!”
What’s so wrong with that? It’s nice, sincere and to the point. You’re not interested but happy hunting!
2 – Be rude and bad mannered.
If someone messages you and you don’t message back, they may message you again. Sometimes it’s by accident, sometimes it’s just to make sure that you’re really not interested. Think of it as a compliment – they really like the way you look… or at the very least, your profile.
There is no need to be rude and bad mannered to those that you are not interested in and that kind of behaviour will not make you popular in the rather fickle world of twink dating. As we’ve said before, people talk and you don’t want to get yourself a reputation.
3 – Assume that they are going to put out in the first date.
Hey, just because they’ve agreed to meet you for dinner tonight doesn’t mean that you have automatic access to do and grab whatever you like. Don’t do what you’re not invited to do. By all means make the first move if the mood takes you, but if it looks like a no-go, stop pursuing it.
Believe it or not, some of the guys that you’ll meet on the twink dating site will be looking for love and romance. Not everyone is after a quick bang!
4 – You keep searching…
If you’re on a date with a cute little twink, don’t keep pursuing other guys on the site. Your inbox might be going crazy but you’re on a date with this guy! You liked him enough to agree to go on the date in the first place, at least give him some sort of monogamy at least until the end of the actual date. It’s rude to be hunting for a new man before you’ve even given this current one the benefit of the doubt.
